We were drawn together some years ago having both been involved in leading worship and song over many years in various churches and fellowships. We found that we had the same heart and desire for more of the presence of God to be found in our worship, and for a release of His healing love and power as His people come together to worship.
We are members of a local Church of England fellowship, St Paul's Church, Barton (www.stpaulsbarton.co.uk) and minister out from there with their invaluable prayer covering, love, support and encouragement.
With a longing for the prophetic in our worship, the 'now' song of the Lord has inspired us and led us to pursue that secret place where the Holy Spirit can speak a Rhema Word into our hearts through our worship. We love the way the Holy Spirit ministers to the people of God through prophetic song and words of knowledge. Jesus came to set the captives free, bind up the broken hearted, bring sight to the blind - and He is still the same today, loving to move among His children as they worship Him.
Running parallel to this calling to lead worship has been the singing of spiritual songs over God's people. These Spirit inspired songs call to each one of us to draw near to God and soak in His presence and to allow His healing love to touch our lives. We have many testimonies of how God's healing power has reached out and touched lives through these songs, both from those in prison, prositutes and drug addicts and those whose bodies and minds need a healing touch from God.
Over recent years we have sensed the Holy Spirit calling us out onto the streets to gently sing the songs the Lord has given us and to offer healing prayer to those that we meet who express a need. It is wonderful to see how much Jesus loves to touch people out in the marketplace in just the same way as when He walked among us on this earth. We worship a miracle working God Who in these days is pouring out His Spirit in new measure and reaching out to the lost and broken, and we are privileged to be just a small part of His kingdom purposes here. We are thankful to God for leading us into so many varied places. We lead worship in churches and fellowships, prisons and on the streets. We sing wherever God opens a door for us and love to see the way He ministers through the songs. It is an awesome privilege and honour to serve the King of Kings and be used by Him, and all the glory goes to Him and Him alone.
It is all about Jesus - we have nothing to offer but His love, His grace and His healing power. As we continue to step out in His Name we know that His power is made perfect in our weakness, for we know that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives within those who believe in His Name and accept Him as Lord and Saviour.
Do you know Jesus? Have you experienced His love and grace in your own life? He waits patiently at the door of our hearts knocking to come in if only we will open ourselves up and receive His presence. When we are in His presence we are made aware of how far short we fall in the light of His goodness. Our wrongdoings (sins the Bible calls them) become more apparent and we feel unworthy to be near Him. This is why Jesus died and rose again, so that we can be forgiven, cleansed of all our sins and brought into the family of God - have a personal relationship with our heavenly Father through His precious Son, Jesus Christ. If you do not yet know Jesus or the love of the Father, let us encourage you to reach out to Him right now and find that place of peace and acceptance that only His love can bring. Pray this simple prayer in faith and Jesus will come into your life and transform you forever:-
"Dear Heavenly Father, I know I have made a mess of things and have gone my own way and have not followed Your path. I am aware that I have done wrong and I am truly sorry for all of my sins. I know that Jesus died for me and rose again to give me new life. I ask You to forgive me now for all the wrong in my life and to make me clean and new. Lord Jesus please come into my life and live in me by Your Holy Spirit and help me to follow You from this day on and for all the days of my life. I pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen"
If you have prayed this prayer - do let us know. Drop us an email or call us. We would love to talk to you and help you find a good church where you can grow in your new and wonderful relationship with God.
